Alternates Retained for Detailed Study:
The Section 100 Project Team recommended Alternates to be carried forward for further study. For each interchange location (I-895, I-695 and MD 43), the project team also recommended which interchange option should be carried forward into detailed studies for each alternate. These selections were presented to Agency representatives in the Alternates Retained for Detailed Studies (ARDS) document. The Federal Highway Administration, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Environmental Protection Agency concurred on this document on April 1, 2004. The document may be viewed here:
