The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) has completed the replacement of the bridges that carry Cowenton Avenue and Joppa Road over I-95. The new bridges are longer and allow for the addition of Express Toll Lanes (ETLsSM) along mainline I-95. They were built wider to improve safetly and accommodate pedestrians and bicyclists. The new Joppa Road Bridge was constructed in the same location as the original bridge. The new Cowenton Avenue Bridge was built just north of the original bridge. |
