| Cowenton Avenue and Joppa Road Bridge
Replacements |
|
The Maryland Transportation Authority recently replaced the bridges
that carry Cowenton Avenue and Joppa Road over I-95. The
new bridges are longer and allow for the addition ofExpress
Toll Lanes (ETLsSM) along mainline I-95. They were built wider
to accommodate pedestrians and bicyclists, as well as to
improve safety. The new Joppa Road Bridge was constructed in the same
location as the original
bridge. The new Cowenton Avenue Bridge was built just north
of the existing bridge.
